Loot filter by set
Patch 1.7.3: Gear · auto-sell and junk threshold
What it is
Loot filter by set (thanks, Rody and Alexarion). Per set you choose “keep” or “sell”. A further switch never auto-sells pieces you crafted yourself. The junk text now says more exactly what applies.
The switches are on the Gear page in the section “AUTO-SELL · JUNK THRESHOLD”.
The three settings
Sets: keep or sell — One click cycles: empty (the junk threshold decides) → keep (never junk) → sell (junk even above the threshold — and even with auto-sell off — but only where you already wear something better; never favourites, enchanted or hardened pieces).
| Setting | Effect |
|---|---|
| – | The junk threshold decides, as before. |
| keep | Never junk: neither auto-sell nor auto-unmake nor the button “Sell junk” takes the piece. |
| sell | Junk regardless of rarity and threshold, even with auto-sell off — but only where you already wear something better in the same slot. |
What never goes automatically
- anything better than the piece you wear in the same slot (if a slot is free, it stays)
- favourites
- enchanted pieces
- hardened pieces
- bound pieces
- pieces of a saved loadout
- workshop gear
- the unique piece of a dungeon set
- anything that survived the Ashfall
Which sets there are
| Kind | Sets |
|---|---|
| Metal tiers | Bronze, Iron, Silver, Gold, Mithril, Thaurium, Adamant, Voidsteel, Abyssal, Embersteel, Veyrsteel |
| Dungeon sets | The Ash Warren, The Drowned Necropolis, The Embering Deep Forge, The Frostbound Cathedral, The Void Throne, The Shaft of Names, The Deep Ground |
Protect crafted pieces
Never auto-sell crafted pieces — On: gear you crafted yourself is never sold or unmade automatically, not even with a high junk threshold or a set switch on “sell”. Off (default): it counts like loot.
The switch sits below the junk threshold and wins over the set switch.
After the Ashfall
Set switches and the crafting switch are settings and stay after the Ashfall.
